Who we are
Founded in 2025 by a cooperative of homeschool parents in San Antonio, the Texas Crusaders is an independent faith-based organization established to ensure homeschoolers have access to the same athletic and extracurricular opportunities of public, private, parochial, and charter school students.
We are currently in the process of attaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Mission
In God’s name and for His glory, we strive to enrich the moral, mental, physical, and spiritual strength of San Antonio-based homeschool student-athletes through challenging extracurricular programs and devoted Christian mentorship.
Vision
To provide a challenging and supportive environment where Christian homeschool student-athletes can reach their full potential, develop their skills, learn valuable life lessons, and grow in their faith in the Lord.
Power of parables
Our Lord Jesus Christ used parables to illustrate spiritual or moral truths – often using everyday situations and objects to convey a message about the Kingdom of God.
As a sports ministry, we teach skills and discuss lessons we learn between the chalk lines (e.g., discipline, failure, resilience, conflict, sportsmanship, etc.) to shape our youth into better students, athletes, siblings, citizens, leaders, and servants of the Lord outside the chalk lines.
